Obituary of Dianne Carson
It is with sad hearts that the family of Dianne Ada Carson announce her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB, on April 23, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Hazen and Bertha (Forgey) Weir.
Dianne was a mother/grandmother to all in Smithtown. She was known as "Gadine" to her grandchildren, family and many close friends and Grammie to the boys. Her door was always open if you wanted to stop in for a chat and a cup of tea
She loved her family, her garden, animals, her Fridays spent with her sisters and strawberry sundaes. She loved where she lived, she'd refer to it as God's country, and she saw the beauty in absolutely everything
She had a contagious smile and warm presence that you were lucky to be surrounded by. She was thankful for everything she had, and she loved the simple things in life. As she would often say, “we’re all doing the best we can do”.
Family was everything to her. She watched all her grandchildren grow up and gave them the best childhood memories in her home with her ice-cold celery sticks in the fridge, vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and day trips to St Martin's with a peanut butter sandwich packed. It couldn’t get any better than a day spent with Gadine.
She always made you feel loved and part of the family. She will be deeply missed and forever loved
We would like to extend a huge thank you the staff of Loch Lomond Villa (Willow House) for their exceptional care, love and kindness to Dianne and her family
