Obituary of John Paul Scott

It is with great sadness that the family of John “Jack” Paul Scott announces his passing which occurred on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Kings Way Care Centre, Quispamsis, NB. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on December 15, 1932, he was the son of the late John and Fannie (Kilpatrick) Scott. He and Marilyn moved to their beloved Upham in 1990.

Jack is survived by his sister Betty Ward of Reading, MA; sister-in-law Ann Scott of Reading, MA; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Marilyn Scott (Hewitt); and brothers Gerald and Eugene Scott.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and at Kings Way Care Centre for all the care shown towards Jack and his family. Your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A private family interment will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Upham, NB.
