Obituary of Molly Delaney
It is with great sadness that the family of Molly Lynn Delaney announces her passing which occurred on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at her home in Hampton, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on November 8, 1957, she was the daughter of the late John and June (Pinfold) Saunders.
Molly started out as an army cadet at Moss Glen Legion, becoming a private with the 8th Hussars in Sussex. Molly was proud to be a 50-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #28 and awarded her life-time membership this year.
Molly is survived by her husband Christopher Delaney of Hampton, NB; son, James Keith and daughter, Jennifer McGrath (Shane) of Quispamsis, NB; grandchildren: Gemma, Sarah and Allen; brothers: Bob Saunders (Christine) of Nauwigewauk, NB, Michael Saunders (Marie) of Hampton, NB and John Saunders (Karen) of Belleisle, NB; sisters: Sally Bernard of Belleisle, NB, Linda Robertson of Belleisle, NB, Suzanne Chestnut (Stewart) of Southfield, NB and sister-in-law Donna Saunders of Belleisle, NB; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Molly was predeceased by her son Michael Keith; brother Barry Saunders; and sister Ann Byers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A Celebration of Molly’s Life will take place on Sunday, July 19 from 1:00 to 5:00pm at the Moss Glen Legion (1356 Route 845, Clifton Royal). The interment will take place at Hampton Rural Cemetery, Hampton, NB at a later time. Donations in memory of Molly may be made to NB Lung, the Oncology Department of the Saint John Regional Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice.
