Some of my best memories growing up with with my uncle. Family dinners in Hampton were always full of stories and the occasional hand drawn tattoo from him to make me look tougher of course.
He was a family first man always checking in for a chat to see how you were doing. I’ll miss the laugh and the humble attitude but most of all I’ll remember him for the love he showed to all of us and anyone lucky enough to have known him.

Condolences to Irvine's family and friends. I have only known Irvine for 2 years and known him to be a very caring and kind person. He told great stories about growing up, his family, friends, working hard and yes regrets in his life. I told him that was all part of his journey and we all have them but make us wiser. I enjoyed the great talkes we had. Rest in peace Irvine, until we meet again my friend!

I have pleasant boyhood memories of attending practices and performances by the Country Clover band with Ervine as the drummer. He always took the time to chat and make you feel as though you were part of the whole experience. This picture was taken at the old Belleisle Regional High School in 1978 when the band did a fundraiser in support of the newly formed Belleisle Valley Dept. My deepest condolences to all of you.

My sincere condolences to Ervine's family. I was blessed to call him a wonderful friend. He gave me great advice on singing and his stories were truly interesting. His favorite saying was " long story short". His love for music was evident and he always said we need the beat of the drum to get the tempo. Plus he was a terrific dancer. I will miss him.

I met Irvine a couple of times with his sister Janet Petty. He was full of stories, jokes and laughter. It makes me smile to remember our second meeting when he looked at me and said, “I remember you. You were from Newfoundland and we had a great chat about good music (true)… or were you that dancing girl I met in Vegas once?” (joke).. Irvine will be remembered for his gift of making people feel welcomed and joyful. Sincere condolences to his family.

Very sorry for your loss. In my short exposure to playing in a band, Ervine always amazed me at how much music he could make with only a snare drum, a set of sticks or a set of brushes or a combination of the two. I enjoyed playing with him and giving him a big hug when I saw him even though he let on like he didn’t enjoy it!

My sincere condolences to all of Ervine's family. Your write up certainly is the image of the man I remember. I remember him very well, having grown up in Hampton myself. Then later my late husband and I lived on Law Avenue, (Mercers) as did Ervine and family. I hope you keep your wonderful memories alive. Sending love and comforting hugs to you all at this sad time.

Oh my goodness, that picture - it's like he's is going to talk to me!! Met Irvine at one of the music open mics we attended. I knew he could dance as a mutual friend of ours told me . In one of our many conversations Irvine told me he could 2-step. Light bulb moment as I have always wanted to do that. It was a joke we shared as whenever I saw him I would say "is tonight the night" and his reply would be that grin and twinkle in his eyes. Teaching me to 2-step didn't happen and sadly now it never will. Tonight at the open mic for those of us who always sat in the same row with him (and all that will be there ), his vacant seat will bring tears to my eyes no matter who sits in that seat now, all of us who knew and loved him that will always be Irvine's seat. Rest high on that mountain, Irvine, you work on earth is done. See you on the other side my friend.
Sincerest condolences to all his family.

I am saddened and shocked at Ervine's passing. We shared many chats and teasing at the Jam Sessions in Sussex and Hampton. It surley won't be the same without him sitting in a chair waiting to have a conversation with someone that came along.. He was an awesome drummer and I enjoyed watching him, he put so much of himself into it.. Please accept my most sincere condolances Ally and Elaine, along with Ervine's sisters and extended family. He will be greatly missed. Sending Hugs and Prayers. Lorraine

We are heartbroken at the passing of this dear soul Ervine. Herb thought the world of him . They used to have some greatl times together, and that laugh. Such a caring person who loved his music. He was always on the road to some musical event. He used to bring his saxophone to our house and he and Herb would play music downstairs. We are going to miss this soul. We send our sincere condolences to all the family. We know Ervine will be playing those drums and that saxophone up in heaven. We love you Ervine. RIP and we will never forget you.
