Obituary of Michele Muir

It is with great sadness that the family of Michele Pamela Muir announce her passing which occurred on Friday, April 25, 2026 at her residence. Born in Saint John, NB on March 15, 1958, she was the daughter of Pamela (O’Leary) Lively and the late Anthony Lively.

Michele is survived by her son Morgan Muir of Lower Millstream, NB; granddaughter Bella Muir; sister Simone (Timmy) McQuade of GrandBay-Westfield, NB; brothers: Robert Lively of Saint John, NB, Terry (Gizelle) Lively of GrandBay-Westfield, NB; beloved Aunt Libby, along with nieces and nephews: Chelsea Crossman (Sean), Kayleigh Peiser (David), Keighan Whelly (Brian), Toni Lively, Jamie Lively, Tyler McQuade and Luc Lively. Many wonderful and loved great nieces, nephews, cousins back in England and here in Saint John.  In addition to her father, Michele was predeceased by her brother Ricky Lively.

Michele, lovingly known as “Mitch” to many, spent her retirement years devoted to caring for those she loved most. She was a proud and devoted mother to her son, Morgan, whom she loved deeply. Michele often spoke with great pride of Morgan’s ability as a father, especially in raising his daughter, Bella. Her son and granddaughter meant the world to her and brought her immense joy.

Michele had a fondness for online shopping—a trait she inherited from her mother—and she was known for completing her Christmas shopping months in advance. It was one of the many small ways she expressed her thoughtfulness and care for others.

She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and her genuine, heartfelt love. Michele will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB from where visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 4 to 6pm. Donations in the memory of Michele may be made to the SPCA, Diabetic Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and memorial donations may be made through ReidsFH.com.
