Obituary of Joanne Beyea
It is with broken hearts that the family of Joanne Mary Beyea announce her passing, which occurred on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre in Hampton, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on October 23, 1955, she was the daughter of the late August and Yolande (Vienneau) Doiron. Joanne was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, loving wife, and dear friend who went to be with the angels after a courageous and lengthy battle. A true fighter until the very end, her strength and resilience will never be forgotten.
She was employed with Social Development for 29 years, where she dedicated her life to helping the people of Saint John—supporting hundreds of individuals and families over the years. She never judged anyone, whether they were at the bottom or the top of the ladder. Her compassion, kindness, and unwavering belief in others changed lives in ways that will never fully be known.
She also spent many years working at NB Liquor, where she greeted countless familiar faces with her warm smile and infectious energy. Her laugh could light up any room, and her presence was truly unforgettable.
She was a talented knitter, winning many first-place awards over the years, and took great pride in her craft. She had a love for fashion—always dressed to the nines in her signature high heels, often paired with her favourite cheetah print, a style that was uniquely hers.
She loved dancing, gardening, knitting, slowing down at the “camp,” many bike rides on the Harley Davidson with Eldon, bike runs and good times with friends, travelling with her children and grandchildren, beach days, walks, and being outdoors. She rarely sat still, always keeping busy and working hard—something she carried proudly from her hardworking family roots. Above all, she loved helping others and brought light, warmth, and energy wherever she went.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her love, strength, and spirit will be carried forward by those who loved her most. We can only imagine she is now watching over us with leopard print wings and a little extra sparkle—just her style.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Eldon Beyea of Cambridge Narrows, NB; daughters: Yolande Clements (Ben) of Bedford, NS and Amanda Doiron of Whistler, BC; stepchildren: Jill Mantle (Grant) of Saint John, NB and Justin Beyea (Melissa Fergestad) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren: Xavier Clements, Gianna Clements, Sawyer Mantle, Parker Mantle, Kaison Doiron, Matilda Beyea, and Aurora Hattie Beyea; brothers: Clifford Doiron (Debbie) of Calgary, AB, and Ed Daly (Susan) of Saint John, NB; sister Jacqueline McDevitt (Ronald) of Quispamsis, NB, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family would like to extend a very special “thank you” to the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre for their excellent and compassionate care.
