To The McMackin Family,
We're so sorry to hear of Chester's passing. I worked with him at Scotiabank North End for only 12 months in the mid eighties but enjoyed every minute of it. He was a true gentleman and always found something positive in any bad situation. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, friends and fellow bankers. RIP Chester.

I am sorry to hear of Chesters passing. He was a beautiful person and he touch the lives of so many children that I had the honor of caring for. Whenever the children met him during our adventures in the woods he would always take the time to time to share one of his stories with them. The children always enjoyed these encounters and were happy to share his stories with the next people that would listen. I hope the memory of his many stories brings you all comfort. Patty Raeburn and many of the children of Reach for the Stars Preschool.

Dear McMackin family ,
Chester was a true gentleman who loved to tease a bit. I don't know how many people won the "furry teapot" when answering his Facebook status', I won a couple of times. I had a cookie swap one Christmas and Chester participated with bringing packs of brown sugar fudge. Rest Easy Chester.

I have great memories of Chester from 50 years ago when he was the bank manager at the branch I worked. There was always a good morning and wonderful smile to start the day. He loved to tease a “little” but always in a way you could laugh. Chester made the best fudge and delivered these tasty treats. He loved his family and was proud to be husband, Dad and grandfather. They don’t make many like Chester anymore. Rest in peace.
