Obituary of Fred Smith

It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick Stanley Smith announce his passing which occurred surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at his home in Long Reach, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on November 18, 1948, he was the son of the late Stanley and Irene (Burhoe) Smith.

Fred is survived by his loving wife Pam Smith of Long Reach, NB; children: Michael Smith of Long Reach, NB and Tabatha Smith of Saint John, NB; grandson Cody Smith of Saint John, NB; brother Gordon Smith (Nancy) of Long Reach, NB; sisters: June Miller of the Kingston Peninsula, Jane Ross (Louis Duguay) of Saint John and Patsy of Sussex, NB; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by his sisters: Lillian Smith, Joan Smith and Donna Jones.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB and will be held privately.
