Mitham family, Myself and Mark are saddened to hear of Bettys passing. I originally met Betty through the MS Bike Tour and the walks. She was a very good friend to my mom (Shirley Stanley). My deepest sympathies to Betty's family. She was such a lovely person. I have fond memories of her, through our church. Singing in the choir at Christmas time, singing 'Come on Ring those Bells' & Betty always brought her bear bells that she used for her hikes out west. I loved all of her stories. Rest easy sweet soul.

Sending sincere sympathy to Betty’s wonderful family. I was blessed to spend time with this amazing woman during the years she was active with the Kennebecasis Naturalist Society. Walter and Betty hosted our club at their peninsula home several times, and travelled quite a distance to attend the monthly meetings in Sussex and other events. We have many pictures of both Betty and Walter in our clubs photo albums. Even though Betty has not been able to be active the past few years, she certainly remained interested in what was happening! She will be missed the most by you, her family, but also by so many friends near and far. She will never be forgotten!!

My sincere condolences to Bruce, Sarah, Peter and her extended family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her both here and across Canada.
I got to spend many hours with Betty. I learned so much about wildlife and in particular about birds from her. I loved hearing so many of her stories from her younger years and her wry but gentle humour!
Betty is now at peace and free from pain. As they say in Ireland 'Slan abhaile' ...safe home, Betty.
