Obituary of Linda Mercer
It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Ann Mercer announce her passing which occurred on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on July 10, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Mary Tays.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Phillip Mercer of Bloomfield Ridge, NB; children: Jamie Mercer of Bloomfield Ridge, NB, Kris Mercer of McGregor Brook, NB, Luke Mercer of Bloomfield Ridge, NB and Beth Cornmesser (Stephen) of Apohaqui, NB; grandchildren: Cash, Jacob, Jackson and Riley; brothers: Arnie Tays (Hannah), Ronnie Tays and Joe Tays (Jeannie); sisters: Muriel Mercer (Myles) and Shelley Mercer (Raymond); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother Carl Tays; and daughter-in-law Amanda Mercer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11th, 2026 from 12 to 2pm followed by the funeral at 2:00pm all from Reid’s Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place in the Spring at Big Rock Cemetery, Bloomfield, NB.
