Obituary of Andrew Hansen

It is with broken hearts that the family of Andrew Hans Hansen, age 41, of Lakeside, NB, announces his unexpected passing which occurred on January 1, 2026. He was born in Saint John, NB, on September 14, 1984, a son of Bernetta (Moran) Hansen and the late Philip Hansen.

Andrew is survived by his mother Bernetta Hansen of Lakeside, NB; son Brayden Hansen of Lorneville, NB; Brayden’s mother Stephanie Herbert (John) & their children: Austin & Callie; Brayden’s maternal grandparents Angie and Dave Herbert, along with his aunt & uncle Sarah and Cody Colford;  brother Eddie Hansen of Saint John; sisters: Sara Hansen of Lakeside, NB, and her children: Lexi, Jase and Isabella, Hopelynn Hansen (Chase); aunts: Bernie Moran, Mae MacPhee, Christina (Raymond) Gallant, Leona Moran, B.L. Moran (Lorne), Patricia Moran-Kelly (Patrick); uncles: Edward (Bea) Hansen, Alban (Pam) Moran; longtime girlfriend Jenna Beaulieu of St. Martins and her children; sadly missed by many cousins and friends, especially Max Denton (Maxipad) and Keith Lavigne, Tyler (Wanno), Pat (Pam), Chris D, Chris (Beach), Rick, Anthony (Thumper), Shane (Bubbles) and so many more. Besides his father Philip, he was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents James and Glenn Moran; paternal grandparents Hans and Dorothy Hansen; uncles: Norbert Moran, Patrick Reilly, Hazen Barton and aunt Faye Barton.  

Andrew graduated from Hampton High School and worked for nearly 20 years at Saputo in Lorneville.  His son Brayden was the love of his life and he enjoyed travelling with him for his hockey games.  Andrew was a lover of the outdoors and attending car shows. His love of cars started with his “Cheesy Poof”. He had a smile and a hello for everyone.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB.   A celebration will be held at Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 1:00PM.
