Obituary of Gloria Holland
It is with great sadness that the family of Gloria Doreen Holland announce her passing, surrounded by family & friends, which occurred on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Kingston, NB, on February 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Brentha (McLean) Cosman.
Gloria is survived by her children: Judy Travis of Quispamsis, NB, Richard Steele (Trudi) of Barrie, ON, Stephen Steele (Lori) of Apohaqui, NB, Susan LaPointe-Chandler (Bruce) of Hatfield Point, NB and Lana Lamb-Vallis (Allan) of Kingston, NB; brothers: Wayne Cosman of Kingston, NB and Edward Cosman of Saint John, NB; 10 grandchildren; as well as many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family. In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased by her first husband Ronald Steele; second husband James Holland; Wilfred Lamb, father of Lana Lee; sisters: Dorothy Kellier and Gwendolyn Moody; brothers: Francis, Kemys, Roland, DeVern, Carl, Ralph, Cecil, Darrell, Clinton, Theodore, Andrew, and Ansley.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Kingsway Care Centre, for all the love and support you gave our mother. You will not be forgotten.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at the Kingston Baptist Church, 3935 Route 845 Kingston, NB. The reception will be held at the Trinity Parish Hall, 3946 Route 845, Kingston, NB. A private family interment will be held in the spring at Kingston Baptist Cemetery.
