Obituary of Joanne London

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Elizabeth (McQuinn) London, on November 3, 2025, surrounded by family at the Dr VA Snow Centre in Hampton, NB.

Joanne was born at the Sussex Hospital Dec 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Joe and Nita (Brown) McQuinn. She grew up in Sussex, attending Sussex Elementary School, high school at Edgehill NS and Bible School in Moncton. She did her RNA training in Saint John and Moncton Hospitals.  She nursed at the Fredericton Hospital while Jim was at UNB. She married Jim in 1962 while he was studying pre-med at Acadia University and spent her first year of married life in Wolfville where they welcomed their first son Tony. Their second son Andrew was born in Sussex in 1965 followed by the arrival of their daughter Jennifer in 1971.

The things that Joanne loved most in life were her grandchildren, her great-grandchild Zoe, shopping, Sorority, Rummoli, Meals on Wheels, Bingo at the Snow Centre, catering, her children, and special friends, Ruthanne, Gay, Faye, Carolyn, and neighbours, Sharon & Joan.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jim of Hampton, NB; sons: Tony (Caroline) of Kingston, NB and Andrew (Dianne) of Hampton, NB; daughter Jennifer of Hampton, NB; grandchildren: Nicolas, Brittany and Jacob and great-granddaughter Zoe; sister-in-law Lorraine McQuinn and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Joanne was predeceased by her brother Aiton McQuinn Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. where all services will be held privately.
