George was a treasure to work with. He cared deeply for students and had a wonderful way of diffusing a crisis by being calm and reassuring just by his presence and smooth, quiet voice. He did, however, have a Great sense of humour and a Huge laugh!!
All of us at Belleisle Regional High School, and I am sure at the other schools in which he taught, appreciate that George made a positive impact. We will miss you.

I was sorry to read of George’s passing. I enjoyed getting to know George when he taught at Hampton Elementary. We heard lots of stories, particularly about his three daughters whom he adored. I remember his being a little frustrated when any one of his daughters was supposed to be at a certain place by, say, 4:00 and he would shake his head wondering why they didn’t leave the house until 4:00!
How fortunate the grandchildren had a chance to know their grandfather.

Chris, Lindsay, Jenni, Meaghan, and families, my condolences to you on your recent loss of a dear husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. I worked with George for several years at Hampton Junior High and enjoyed having him as a colleague. A million years ago he gave me a drive to Ontario and we shared many laughs on that journey. Christine,Lindsay,Jenny,and Meaghan .Theresa and I are very sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad,George.We have fond memorries of dinners at Barb and Henry's,BBQ's and the many laughs we had.Also our many trips together to New Hampshire, and Disney.
George and I taught together at the Sun Ed program.at Harry Miller and he was an excellent teacher,with great compassion for those students.
I shall remember these good times with a smile and a chuckle.
