Obituary of Doris Mae Adams
It is with great sadness that the family of Doris Mae Adams announce her passing which occurred on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Saint John, Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on July 8, 1964, she was the daughter of Peter and the late Margaret (Manship) Dixon.
Doris’s pride and joy was her children and grandchildren, and she loved spending time with them. She always looked forward to taking her grandchildren to Heart Island and being involved with any activity or event going on in her family’s lives. She also loved playing bingo with her friends and family, vacationing with her friends down south and singing karaoke, which she was quite good at! Doris was dearly loved by friends and family and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Doris is survived by her cherished children: Anna Taylor (Jason) of Midland, NB, Tony Adams of Hampton, NB and Alicia Adams (Tyler Worden) of Browns Flats, NB; grandchildren: Isabelle Taylor, Blake Taylor, Jackson Taylor, Sophie Adams and Ben Adams; brother Frankie Dixon (Darcey Scott) of Towerhill, NB; sisters: Lorna Dixon of Edmonton, AB and Heather Dixon (Andy Girouard) of French Village NB; mother-in-law Violet Adams; brother-in-law Ronnie Adams of Saint John, NB; sister-in-law Tanya McAuley (Rick) of Saint John, NB; nephews: Peter, Daryl, Travis, Marcus and Oliver; nieces Alexis and Becca; as well as many other extended family members and friends. Doris was predeceased by her son Charlie Adams; mother Margaret Dixon; father-in-law Chuck Adams; maternal grandmother Anna Manship; and paternal grandmother Lorna Dixon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), Hampton, NB. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from Holy Trinity Church, Hammond River, NB. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, NB.
