June McKim

Obituary of June McKim

It is with great sadness that the family of June Vivian Mckim announces her passing, which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on June 26, 2025, peacefully with her family there. Born in Saint John, NB, November 20, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Margaret (Fairweather) McKim.

June loved nature and the woods and could always be found exploring and enjoying every part of it and shared that with her grandchildren. She loved poetry and music, not only reading it, but she loved writing her own. She enjoyed playing her guitar and mandolin, and she loved to sing. She loved History, Art, and loved to craft. She also loved biking and in her younger years would bike with her 2 sons from Rothesay to Fundy National Park just to camp for the week and then bike back home. Beautiful memories. What was most important to June was her Faith in God, and she shared that Faith with anyone who would listen. She loved the Lord and throughout her 9 years of battling cancer, she stuck close to her Saviour Jesus Christ. She found love, grace, and peace in Him.

June is survived by her 2 sons Stuart (Lisa) Clark of Titusville, NB and Gary (Gail) Clark of Darlings Island, NB; her 6 grandchildren: Jake, Austin, Sarah (Ryan), Rachel, Eddy, Eric and one great grand daughter on the way, Nora June; sister Marjorie-Anne Thibodeau, brother Glen (Sandra) Mckim along with many loved nieces and nephews

The family would like to thank the amazing nursing staff at Extra Mural for the exceptional care they provided June over the years and also a huge thank you to all of the staff at Bobby’s Hospice who made the last month of June’s life peaceful and full of love!

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home. At June’s request, there will be no service or burial. There will be a celebration of life with immediate family at a later date. Donations can be made in June’s memory to Bobby’s Hospice and Hampton Baptist Church Youth Group.
