My mum Dorothy (Kee) Murchie was good friends with Ruby when they were younger. Mum moved to St Stephen in 1957 but she and Ruby kept in touch. I have fond memories of Ruby & Jim's visits over the years. Mum was sad to learn of her passing. Sending condolences to the Laird family and wishing you peace as you say goodbye to your mum. Susan, my sincerest condolences to you and your family. I learned so much about your mom from you. As you spoke about her I could see the beauty of her spirit and envisioned her as the Proverb 31 woman “ a virtuous and capable woman, praised for her diligence, wisdom, and fear of the Lord.” She lived “ a life of purpose and faithfulness, embodying strength, dignity, and hard work. Her life is characterized by her devotion to God, her care for her family, and her contribution to her community.”
She may be gone, but her legacy lives on in her children and her children’’s children.

Dear Ruby's Family and Friends , Please accept my love , prayers and condolences on the passing away of your dear mother Ruby. Ruby was a beautiful person , very spiritual , and aways looking out for others. I am so happy to have known her for the 49 years I have lived in Hampton and her last few years as a resident of the Dr Snow Centre . It has been a Honour and a Privilege to have gotten to spend more time with her and care for Ruby through Therapeutic Recreation. She loved to be involved especially with the live musical entertainment, Church services ,bible study , children's programs , pet therapy and outside in the gorgeous gardens. You all have wonderful memories to cherish in your hearts forever, and oh how she loved her family. Ruby will be dearly missed! Rest In Peace Sweet Ruby! My condolences to the family of Ruby Laird. Susan has shared many stories regarding the spiritual training and integrity of this virtuous woman. To Ruby's family, she was an awesome "backyard" neighbour when our property on Main Street butted up against her and Jimmy's back yard and pasture. My favourite memory of Ruby is seeing her in their driveway, bent over laughing, as she watched me coming up Kennebecasis River Road followed by the Laird's two run away horses using a bunch of carrots as the lure. They followed me like two docile little lambs. She later told Jimmy that I must speak horse or something to get them to follow me like that. Both Ruby and Jimmy were wonderful people and I feel blessed to have known them both.

What a life of blessings Ruby lived! Memories of her stem from my youth, during summer visits with New Brunswick relatives. So sad to hear of your Mom's passing.
I have so many memories of going to your home from school and staying over and Ruby baking cookies in the morning to put in our lunches and then missing the school bus and her chasing it down the road [she could wind that station wagon up].
After I married and we would be in Hampton John and I often stopped in for a chat and a cup of tea with her.
Great memories of a very loving lady.

Ruby touched my life like soo many others, I'm forever grateful to have meet and helped her in the last few years of her life. I never heard of New Jerusalem till I met Ruby, and also I got to know Dianne, Bradley and Melody. Ruby always talked of her grandchildren and her sisters and brothers.
