Obituary of Wanda Gass
It is with great sadness that the family of Wanda Faith Gass announces her passing which occurred on Saturday June 14, 2025 with her family by her side. Born in Saint John, NB on January 31, 1966, she was the daughter of Dianne (Weir) Carson and the late Reginald Carson.
Wanda was kind, honest, and had a way of making you feel special with just the sight of her smile. She was well known for her Heart to Heart hugs. She always said life is about the journey, and what an amazing journey she had. She lived life to the fullest and cherished every moment especially when it came to her children and grandchildren. They were her entire world. Wanda loved spending time with her family in PEI. She loved walking the beach looking for sea glass and heart shaped rocks. She spent many hours in the kitchen baking cookies with her grandchildren.
Wanda graduated from nursing school in 1986. She worked at the Saint John Regional Hospital in Orthopedics, then spent over 20 years working in Labour and Delivery. She continued with her passion and went on to become a well-respected teacher of the nursing program at NBCC where she had the privilege to teach many of the babies she delivered. Wanda was a passionate nurse who always put her patients first. She believed that every person should be cared for with extra special attention. She made such an impact on so many lives, whether she was helping to bring you into the world, caring for you as a patient or teaching you to become a passionate nurse.
