Obituary of Donelda Borden

It is with great sadness that the family of Donelda Josephine Borden announce her death which occurred on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Cape Breton Island, NS, on November 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Marie (McNeil) Spencer.

Donelda is survived by her loving husband Wayne Borden of Lakeside, NB; children: Dwayne Borden (Janet) of Orillia, ON, Paula Borden (Frank) of Hampton, NB and Troy Borden (Christa) of Alliston, ON; grandchildren: Kayla, Darren and Jesse (Ethan); brothers: Eric Spencer (Linda) of Cape Breton, NS and Dale Spencer of Toronto, ON; sisters: Diane Seymour of Toronto, ON, Pat Rideout of Orillia, ON and Jeannie Spencer of Cape Brenton, NS; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Donelda was predeceased by her brother Wayne Spencer; and grandson Ryan Borden.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. Visitation will take place from the funeral home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00PM.
