Doris was my childhood, Besty! I moved to French Village in grade 2 and became friends immediately! We had so much fun together back then! We didn’t have a pot to piss in, but we had each other . For years , where you seen one, you seen the other! We were always in the woods, we would have to be home for supper at 5, and as soon as we finished, we would meet back up. In grade 3 she was piggy backing me in the teachers parking lot at school , on ice, and we wiped out and I broke my collar bone. We did some foolish things, like picnics on top of our out house. Back then my mom was a school bus driver and the bus stayed in our yard for the summer! It became our summer camp. We would take 4 of the seats and place them on top of the backs, made perfect beds! We went our separate paths in grade 9, but not matter how much time passed over the years, when we seen each other, it was like it was yesterday! She had an amazing memory, she could tell me so many things, I have no memory of, like every one of my elementary school teachers! She was my truest, kindest, most loyal friend to date! I loved her so much and I am going to miss her dearly! RIP my Friend, the pain is over! Till we meet again!
