I met Al thru his son Dan when we were hired to cleanup the mill in Newcastle…so many great memories of how he entrusted two young SJ hockey boys to do an important environmental cleanup…his leadership helped shape our careers & wont be forgotten.

Since I was a little girl I loved our families times spent at Pine Cone or the when you Mom and Dad the Banks got together. I loved hearing the conversations and stories of you all You and Al were a huge part of my parents friendship which we were so grateful for.

My dad George MacLennan, also originally a machinist, thought the world of Al. I believe Allen helped my dad get his job at the refinery around 1965. They were friends and I remember many times going to Stackhouses garage on Saturday’s. They hunted together and we have a picture of a moose they shot from one hunting trip at camp around Mt Pisgah area. Sincere condolences to the entire family. He had a wonderful personality and smile!
