I will always remember Callum’s friendly manner and engaging smile. One special memory I have, which happened a few decades ago, was the day I went to the Irving to put air in one of my car tires. I’m not sure I had ever done this before.
There were a group of older boys, including Callum, standing around watching me trying unsuccessfully to connect the the nozzle of the air pump to the valve in my tire. Sensing my frustration, Callum called out, “Mrs Scott, I’ll do that for you.” In very little time, Callum successfully filled the tire with air. With a smile on his face as well as a smile on mine, I went on my way, forever grateful for Callum’s help!
Neil and I extend our sympathy to Callum’s family.
