Dear Lori, Lana, Jeff and Patrick. I just heard of Ron's passing, when talking to your mom. He was a very special friend. We used to get together as three couples for special dinner parties with the McGraws. The evenings were always filled with warm friendships and wonderful home cooked meals. He looked the same as so many years ago even though his health was poor; it didn't show. I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you as you go through this challenging time. I am shocked and saddened to hear of my good friend Ron's passing. Stopped in at his house today to say hi and by the looks of things knew he was gone. We shared our deepest secrets and were always there for each other when needed. If tears could bring him back Ron would be beside me right now. To all Ron's family I pass on my deepest condolences.

Ronnie was a long-time family friend, but as a young adult, I met him when we were both doing our final check-out dive for our scuba diving certification off New River Beach. I didnt know anyone in the group and was a bit nervous, but not after they paired me up with Ron. We soon figured out that we knew each other and his gentle kindness set me at ease and we both passed. Later on, we met again at the Nauwigewauk Community Club and my young family got to know him too. We had lots of nice chats at the side of the Darlings Island Road too. :) During the floods, he was instrumental in getting us on and off the boats safely & happily - working long hours that were probably detrimental to his health. We will sure miss his smiling face and we are very sorry for all of those who loved him.

I’ll miss my dad’s smile and laughter. Stories were always filled with silly perspectives. A phone conversation could go on for hours but he’d have to hang up if Paul or Gerald showed up for coffee. I’ll miss my dad everyday. Especially his laugh.

Dad was the best guy I knew. He worked hard all of his life in so many ways. He was funny and uplifting to everyone. I am so lucky to have had his as a dad. I’ll miss our calls and crazy topics that made us laugh so hard. Thank you for letting us kidnap you to JJ’s Diner to have burgers and milkshakes. We’ll still talk daily -‘I’ll have to do it privately so no one thinks I’m Loosing it!
